FAQ
PRE-SHOOT QUESTIONS
Q: I want to book a session, how does this work?
At the very bottom of my "Packages" page you'll see the "Book your session" button. Click that and it will take you to my questionnaire where you can tell me a little about yourself and what you're looking for as well as request the date for your shoot!
After our session you will receive an email with a link to the gallery of your images where you can select your images, download, share to social media and buy prints.
Q: How many images do I get?
It depends on your package! You will receive between 5-25 images depending on the type of package you book. I typically shoot about 50 deliverable images per hour so there is always the option to purchase extras! (I also tend to gift a handful my favorites free of charge.)
Q: Can I/my family change outfits during the shoot?
Absolutely! There is no limit on outfit changes. Just be mindful of your session time. It's always recommended you let me know of any outfit changes ahead of time so we can best plan and budget our time together.
POST-SHOOT QUESTIONS
Q: How long do I have to wait to get the link to my gallery?
Delivery times may very as it depends on your requested post-work and my current client load. That being said you should expect to see an email from me with the link to your gallery in 3-14 days.
Q: I just got the link to my gallery! Now what?
Now its time to select your images! Click "View Photos" and you will be redirected to your proofing gallery. Favorite the images you want by clicking the heart icon on the bottom of the photo and add them to your "My Favorites" folder. This will tell me which images you want.
Each additional image is $10. You can also buy the entire gallery for $200 regardless of the number of images in that gallery. To purchase additional images, click the heart icon on the photos you want and add them to your "Extra Purchases" folder.
Q: What if I want more images or all of the images in my gallery?
Q: How do I view/edit my "Favorites"? What if I want retouching done on my photos?
In the top right hand corner of your screen, you should see a heart. Click that, enter your email and you should be able to view and edit your favorites list.
At the bottom of each image in your favorites list there will be a speech bubble icon. Click that and write in your notes what you would like retouched.
Q: I've now selected my images. Now what?
Once you have selected your images, send me a message and let me know. You should expect an email from me that looks very similar to the one on the left. Make a note of your PIN number and click the "View Photos" button.
You should now be able to view your purchased gallery! To download your photos click the download button at the very top right of the screen.
Fill in your email and your PIN number.
Select "Purchased", then select your resolution size.
Web is great for social media posts and High Resolution is great for printing.
Then select "Start Download"
You can also download them one at a time by hovering over the image with your mouse and clicking the download button.
Do not screen shot your images. You will lose a significant amount of image quality if you do.
Q: How do I buy prints of my images?
Go to your purchased folder and hover over the image you want printed with your mouse and click the "Shop" button.
Then select the kind of print you want and add it to your cart. Pixieset offers individual prints, framed prints, canvases, wooden panel prints as well as cards!
GENERAL QUESTIONS
RAWs are not just the unedited versions of images. When a photographer uses the word RAW we are referring the very large, specialized file format we use to edit the image during post. RAWs give us the most wiggle room when it comes to editing but we need special software to open the images, which is something most clients do not have.
I do not typically deliver unedited JPGS. Part of the package you are buying when you book with me is my expertise in editing software and my artistic vision. The images that come straight out of my camera are not finished and are not representative of my work.
*If you are worried about keeping a cohesive look for your brand please let me know.
Q: Why don't I get the RAW images?
Q: Why should I book a session with a professional photographer?
When you book a session with me you are not just booking me for my camera and my time.
I have a bachelors degree from Academy of Art University where I was formally educated and trained on both the inner workings of every single piece of equipment I own and use as well as the software I utilize to process and edit.
I have spent years perfecting composition and have spent countless hours learning how to manipulate light and craft every single aspect of my images.
My weekends are reserved for scouting the best locations, searching for that perfect pocket of light on a hillside.
In my decade behind the camera I have collected a skillset and a vision that I think sets me and my work apart.
